last cowboy book post (for awhile, at least)

These are a few old illustrations that were leftover from a revised draft of a current project, and a few new ones that came out of revisions. This book is being submitted now... on to something new.

I've been drawing for awhile but haven't been posting-- I'm long overdue for this, I guess.

Here are some details of sketches from my new book. I'll be pulling and posting a batch of these a day for the next 4-5 days. Enjoy!

Babies from a current project

Here are some babies from the current version of my cowboy book (see the post below this one). I really like drawing these little guys-- they don't always turn out beautifully, but they're still fun to draw, and they only take 20-30 seconds apiece to do. Each one of these drawings is only about 1.5" - 2" around.

Old sketches from a new book

These sketches are from an older version of a book that I'm currently reassembling for submission. I've got a ton of these old drawings laying around for this project, and felt like putting a VERY small sample up. I'm hoping to get a dummy of the new version out by tomorrow, so I'll probably put up a few more images later this week.
