A few sample colors from a recent job

These are a few samples and a detail from an illustrated story I just completed for Compass publishing. Am still liking the gouache/ watercolor/ ink thing, but I feel like it may be time for a change-- finally time for digital? Would like to experiment with color more, and watercolors are pretty unforgiving. Am also a little too short on space for oils, and a little too not liking acrylics for acrylics. A drawing tablet, though.... lots of glossy pros, and I especially like the idea of not having to house a lot of physical copies of my mistakes.

So anyways, here's some stuff I made. 2 out of 3 children across time prefer green walls:

Here are some more sketches from a project for Compass Press (did 8 pages total). Nothing fancy, but whatever. I think that the drawing of the kid at the computer has a niceness to it...

Compass job color details

Here are a few color spots that go along with the sketch shown a few posts ago. Will likely continue to post B&W's and colors from this job over the next few months.
